This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Most of my students do not have any background in art, and the word art and artmaking is very frightening to them, therefore they don't think of art as an outlet for venting and expressing themselves.

Art journaling gives the students permission to play and make mistakes without being judged, while learning and making art.

Being an inexpensive, quick, creative and healthy way for expressing one's-self which makes it a powerful tool for personal development, emotional resilience, and self-discovery.

Art journaling can be a great form of self-care and will encourage students to have a better and deeper connection with their own thoughts and feelings.
