May Our Swishes Come True

My Students

The girls' basketball team in our elementary school is comprised of young ladies ranging from third grade to eighth grade. We are in a rural area with a low socio-economic status and do not have the funding necessary to provide students with every opportunity we wish we could.

We have a motivated group of young ladies filled with work-ethic and pride for their school and the game!

They spend hours on the court working on their craft and are looking for ways to improve their skills.

My Project

I am requesting the most basic of materials for my girls' basketball team. This includes basketballs, shot trainers and aids, blocking pads, coolers, and a scorebook. The basketballs are what makes the game go bounce! These balls will be used in daily practice, along with the blocking pads. These pads will deter injury. Also, I am requesting trainers with aids. This machine will help improve shooting form. The coolers will be taken on away games to ensure students have the cool water they need to stay hydrated. In addition, I am requesting a scorebook for the team. This will allow team stats to be logged, to include rebounds, shot per game for each player, and other data that will be used to better their game during practice.

Our girls' basketball team is filled with energetic young ladies who deserve the best equipment money can buy, and this will fulfill their most basic needs.

Please make our swishes come true!! We plan to improve our skills and help our young ladies become young leaders. Team sports are one of the best training tools to prepare our children for the future. These resources will be used during basketball practices and games. This also encourages our girls to be more active and lead a healthy lifestyle. Thank you for your support.
