This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fifth-grade students are eager readers and writers who are developing the skills they need to become strong, confident communicators. In our classroom, we focus on building literacy through small group instruction, independent reading, and interactive learning. To support their growth, we need access to reliable, engaging technology that enhances our literacy routines and gives every student a chance to shine.

This project will bring a mini iPad into our classroom to support reading and writing instruction in meaningful ways.

With this device, students will be able to access leveled reading platforms, use phonics and comprehension apps, listen to audiobooks, and practice vocabulary through interactive games. It will also allow me to differentiate instruction and provide digital tools to support diverse learning styles and needs.

Technology plays a powerful role in literacy instruction—especially for students who benefit from visual, audio, and interactive content. A mini iPad will open doors to reading materials that might otherwise be out of reach and help students build fluency, comprehension, and confidence.

Your support will help us bring 21st-century tools into our literacy-rich classroom. With this mini iPad, my students will not only gain access to valuable resources but also develop the digital literacy skills they need to succeed in the future.
