Maximizing the Classroom Space Using an iPad

Help me give my students an iPad for the full learning experience and for use of educational tools and project my annotation while maximizing the space in the classroom at the same time.

My Students

My students are a combination of standard, honors, and exceptional learners. Most of them are English as a Second Language (ESL) learners and have difficulty in learning mathematics. They are currently taking Math 1. This is a course where they will be taking the end-of-course (EOC) assessment. They need more practice, drills, and activities to learn effectively.

They are great students; however, they need a lot of support to become successful this year.

My Project

My students are diverse in nature. They need assistance to learn the concepts. Hence, my presence is indeed a big help for them in order to gain a better understanding of the lesson. I need to guide them so that they will feel that I am here for them.

Engagement happens in my classroom if I can attend to the needs of students by using the iPad mini I have requested to project the lesson on the board while I am working with my students at the back of the room.

Proximity is a strategy that helps me make my students be on task and be successful. Moving away from the center of the class, the sage of the stage is a helpful environment to have a student-centered learning structure. It is evident that maximizing the classroom space is a way to promote an engaging classroom setting. Ipad and IOS devices also are very responsive and offer a lot of educational application that is useful for my effectiveness as a teacher. Some of these applications are talking points (to translate different languages) remind(communication) Annotate (to annotate explanation to classroom projector and other educational applications.
