This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are so sweet and eager to soak up all the knowledge they can. They are a diverse group of learners. My students come from many different backgrounds. I would love to give all of my students the resources they need to be successful!
My Project
In this project, I have asked for a few different math manipulatives. These math manipulatives will help to make our lessons more meaningful and engaging to the students. The double-sided money will help my students with counting and identifying different sets of money. the magnetic numbers will be used in small groups to review different mathematical equations. The foam shapes will be helpful when teaching 2D/3D shapes because my students will get to see what the shapes look like in real life. The two sets of pattern blocks will help with composing different shapes. The place value coins and place value number hunt will be great tools when teaching place value to my students. We can use the place value number hunt throughout the year as a review game.
