This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are learning that matter has measurable properties that determine how matter is classified. Having these scales in the classroom will teach my students firsthand that all matter has mass and it will reinforce this concept if they are able to measure matter themselves. They are truly special students and I believe it will boost their self-confidence as they continue exploring, learning, and measuring things in Science class. I love how excited my students are about Science and how they feel more engaged if they are doing the work themselves versus watching the teacher doing a demonstration.
