Mathletes Need Your Help

My students need math practice books to challenge themselves during our weekly Math Olympiad practices. We also need dry erase markers to solve problems collaboratively.

My Students

My school is located on the far south side of Chicago. A vast majority and students live in our neighborhood and are receiving free or reduced-price lunch. My students are all of Mexican or African-American descent. Many of my Mexican students come from Spanish-speaking households. My students are hard working, driven citizens.

Our gifted learners yearn for a challenge, and Math Olympiad will be the competition that brings our mathletes to the next level!

The books and admission fee to the program will allow us to test ourselves against other schools, and practice our higher level math skills.

My Project

My 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students are bright and driven. A few of our students are not challenged consistently by grade level material. By creating a Math Olympiad team, my students will be able to work in teams and grow their higher level math skills. They will also be able to compete against other schools from around the world.

We need practice problems and dry erase markers so that we can work through our problems together during our weekly meetings after school; we want to win Math Olympiad, and your donation will help us get prepared, confident and ready.
