This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help provide my scholars the educational resources that will engage them in the learning rigous mathematical content and practices.
The various math boards will be used for students to learn and immediately apply new learning through visual models.
They will be able to create representations of mathematical concepts using various strategies such as arrays, number bonds, tape diagrams, place value charts, area models, equations, and more. They will be able to work out their thinking and articulate their reasoning. I am also requesting place value coins, reusable write wipe pockets, graphing chart pads and more. These tools will allow my students to better connect their math to relevant real world story problems.
