This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students attend school in a multi-million dollar home neighborhood. Unfortunately, my students are not as privileged as the children of this neighborhood. The majority of them live in bad condition apartment complexes that are filled with crime and uncertainty. I teach at a Title I school where 94% are classified as economically disadvantaged, 48% of students are English Language Learners, and 75% are at-risk.
My 2nd grade students deserve to have every opportunity this world has to offer.
However, many of them are forced to face challenges and obstacles that can sometimes hold them back from reaching their dreams. Please assist me to help my students reach their fullest potential.
My Project
I am working to give my students the most out of the mathematics workstations. Headphones will give students the freedom to hear and work on individualized online lessons such as Imagine Math and Dreambox. The Webcams will help students log in with QR codes to enter their accounts with ease.
My students deserve the best and the headphones will allow them to hear their individual lessons.
The color paper and folders will brighten the mathematics workstations so they can get excited about their learning. I am looking forward to getting some Expo markers as we are going to use them daily in our Mathematics block to do daily addition and subtraction.
