My Project
I am writing to request funding for an educational project aimed at enhancing mathematics instruction for my kindergarten dual language students. Our project, titled "Mathematics Mastery with Ten-Frames," is designed to improve the mathematical skills and engagement of students in our local community. Ten-frames are an essential visual aid for developing mathematical fluency, particularly in addition and subtraction.This hands-on tool will enhance math comprehension, number sense, and problem-solving skills. Unfortunately, many of our students struggle with math concepts and sensory, and I aim to provide them with innovative tools and resources to overcome these challenges.

We will be composing, decomposing, adding, and subtracting using the “Ten-Frames".

My project aims to achieve several key outcomes:
I anticipate a significant improvement in students' math proficiency and problem-solving abilities as a result of using Ten-Frames.
I will be better equipped to deliver engaging and effective math instruction.
Increased Student Engagement: The interactive nature of Ten-Frames is expected to boost student engagement in mathematics lessons.
I believe that providing these resources to underserved schools will help narrow the achievement gap in mathematics proficiency.
