My students need one Greg Tang Math Class Kit (K-5), Finding the Treasure Coordinate Grids, a Fifth Grade Super Math Success workbook, Brain Blasters Problem Solving Practice Cards, and one copy of The Wishing Club A Story About Fractions.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a high poverty area where ALl my students recieve free or reduced lunch.
Although my students face many challenges outside of the classroom, they are challenged in my classroom everyday to work hard.
My students know they are expected to try their best and make progress. We focus on growth not perfection. We focus on solving problems and understanding instead of memorizing. We work together to meet our goals and be successful in the classroom no matter our other circumstances we face outisde if the classroom.
My Project
My students need to practice the strategies and skills we work on in class and also demonstrate multiple ways of understanding important math concepts. These requested math tools and activities will help us master the math skills we learn each day. I am requesting one Greg Tang Math Class Kit (K-5), Finding the Treasure Coordinate Grids, a Fifth Grade Super Math Success workbook, Brain Blasters Problem Solving Practice Cards, and one copy of The Wishing Club A Story About Fractions.
The games we will have will help reinforce skills we have already learned but need to continue practicing.
Having multiple resources for students to engage with will help keel them actively learning and help them stay focused. My students deserve quality resources to help them be successful in and out of the classroom and these resources will do just that.
