My Students
I teach math to struggling students. I work with students from first grade to fifth grade and sometimes kindergarten. We use many activities and games to help with number sense and math fluency.
My students need to be engaged in activities they enjoy in order to be ready for a second dose of math.
We work together to strengthen the skills they need to be at grade level in math.
My Project
We are starting off the year with a new math program and having it organized with easy access will be important for my small groups. Students will know where to find exactly what they need.
The games will provide practice to build fluency in math.
Students will be engaged with manipulatives they are interested in. Using their interests to help learn will provide a successful learning environment.
By creating an organized room full of resources, activities, and games my students will spend the class period focused on learning grade level math skills.
