My Students
My 5th grade is comprised of 29 amazing students, that are very creative and eager to learn, many of whom come from bilingual households and receive free or reduced-price lunch.
My students are smart, spontaneous, and creative.
They are eager to learn new concepts and apply them in their reading, writing, and math skills. They are curious and continuously question things. Many of them come from low socioeconomic status. They face different struggles to learn especially with the pandemic and virtual learning; however, I want to be that person that teaches them that with hard work and dedication you can achieve your goals to become better in life. I want to inspire them and be there as support.
My Project
The math games and chapter books will be used during our math and reading centers. The gift cards from Teacher Pay Teachers will help us get other teacher-made interactive math games. My students need to work on their multiplication facts and reading comprehension. I want to implement more interactive centers in order for students to get better at their multiplication tables as well as reading comprehension. The students will be able to rotate and use these materials on an ongoing basis during math and reading centers.
With these new math games, teacher pay teacher gift cards, and chapter books, I believe it will help us improve these skills and be successful in math and reading comprehension.
