This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My preK students loved to count and sort manipulative. If we have these fun manipulative in our classroom it would improve their fine motor coordination, help them learn about counting and sorting, and expand their problem-solving skills.
These math toys will enhance their fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and visual discrimination.
Also, recognition of shapes, colors, textures, comparison of similarities and differences, matching, classification, and pattern recognition. We will be using these manipulative as teaching tools to engage students in the hands-on learning of mathematics during our math center time.
