My students need math journals and software that provides assistance with test taking strategies in order to be successful with assessments and problems solving skills.
Do you remember how fun learning could be in school? With the current state of high-stakes testing, this is becoming more and more difficult to attain. Help provide materials that will make math engaging for my students'.
My students are fifth and sixth grade students with special needs.
Most of my students have learning disabilities and benefit from instruction being presented using many different modalities. They are rambunctious students who like to be active when learning mathematics. They attend an urban elementary school in Chicago.
My Project
I am asking for assistance in purchasing math journals and daily math practice journals. These journals will allow students to have access to their thinking process, work, and solutions at their disposal every day. This access will provide assistance with retention and daily practice. The requested test-taking software will give students exposure and practice with online software. This is important since the district assessments are all online and it is a new process for my students.
This is an important project for my students because they have been showing so much improvement over the school year and having this software and journals will take them to the next level in being assessed on what they are learning in math.
