My Students
My students live in the disadvantaged neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The school is located on the Williamsburg/Bushwick border. Many of my students come from homes where they don't have support at home for help with homework and studying. Being able to provide them with the proper tools while in school would be a major advantage for them.
My students are amazing individuals who just need the right tools in order to be successful.
Through their eagerness to learn and the addition of technology in the classroom, even my lowest level learners will be successful.
My Project
With the use of student dry erase boards, students will be able to focus more on exploring different ideas and less on making mistakes.
I want my students to focus on the variety of methods that can be used to solve each problem rather than worrying about whether or not the answer is correct.
Many students are afraid of making mistakes and having the wrong answer. The boards will help to make that easier.
Also, included in my project are the markers and erasers the students will need in order to use the boards and some other basic supplies that will help them to be successful this school year.
