My Students
My 3rd-grade classes are full of unique personalities. They are creative, funny, dramatic, and ready to learn. I am building life-long learners, lovers of math, problem solvers, and creative thinkers. As a Math teacher, we actively work on STEM projects incorporating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The students really enjoy discovering how all of these areas fit together to solve real-world problems. They are excited to learn all about the world around them!
My Project
Math can be a challenging subject! To make it more understandable, students benefit from the use of math manipulatives. These manipulatives give students a conceptual understanding of what they are learning so that they can apply it to more abstract thinking. They can also makes learning new concepts fun. This project will help me organize the manipulatives so that they are easily accessible. Currently our manipulatives must be stored in an area that students cannot access without help. This shelving will give all students the ability to use the manipulative when they need it. Thank you for considering this project!
