This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The specific items I'm requesting for this grant include 3D shapes with nets, calculators, multiplication pop-its, meter sticks, hands-on equation class kit and reward math stickers will be instrumental in transforming my 6th-grade students' learning experiences. These resources will allow students to engage in hands-on, immersive activities, making abstract mathematical concepts tangible and accessible. The 3D shapes and 2D nets will enable them to visualize geometry and spatial relationships, fostering a deeper understanding of these mathematical principles. The calculators, multiplication pop-its and equation kits will provide tools for interactive learning, enhancing their grasp of multiplication concepts and making math more engaging. Additionally, the meter sticks will bridge the gap between theoretical math and real-world applications, empowering students to apply their knowledge in practical scenarios.

By providing these hands-on tools and resources, I hope to spark their curiosity and excitement about mathematics in STEM.

Furthermore, I intend to strengthen their foundation in math, particularly in multiplication, which is a fundamental skill for future academic success. This grant will provide the means to nurture their individual strengths and instill a lifelong love for mathematics and STEM disciplines.
