This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Through the years I have had the privilege to help shape the math abilities of numerous students in our school district. I would like to attend this math seminar to empower my students to learn various methods for composing today’s math. This knowledge would allow me to teach my students, who have diverse cultural backgrounds and learning styles, how to use different methods to solve equations. Students love to learn new strategies to empower their mathematical learning.
Math is in every aspect of our world and students should recognize It is an essential skill for success.
My Project
This two-day seminar will help me learn effective and concrete methods to differentiate my math instruction for my students. Greg Tang is a leader in Mathematics and instruction. In this seminar, I will learn about developing Math Workstations as an instructional strategy. I will see how to create standards-based math workstations that are effective, workshop management strategies that work, and assessment tools that inform instruction through planning.
This project will have a significant impact on math instruction in my classroom.
It will help me identify the specific areas that my students need to develop and provide various strategies to support their learning.
