Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I serve a population of economically disadvantaged students with diverse learning abilities. My students amaze me every year with a willingness to learn and grow to be productive citizens.
Most of my students are are performing at one or two grade levels below district expectations.
I therefore have to differentiate instruction in order to meet their needs and close the education gap. This platform will enable me to get some well needed materials to actualize optimal learning outcomes in my students and future leaders.
My Project
The COVID-19 safety protocols require me to maintain a safe environment for my in-person learners. The sanitizing wipes and tissues will enable me to keep the classroom area sanitary. Masks are mandated in our schools and having mask supplies will help students who lose or require replacements. The scissors will have students maintain interactive notebooks with important concepts.
Multiplication facts are an area in which students struggle.
Multiplication skills are an essential foundation to other complex skills. Math Wrap-Ups will be used to help struggling students develop mastery of multiplication facts.
