I teach the youngest of the young at my school!
My students are all 5. Many of my students have had no pre-school experience and are not English speakers. My classroom provides the first time that many of them have had any "hands on" math experience.
My Project
I am so excited to provide high quality instruction to my students. Many come from homes that do not have many (or any) books, toys, or computers. It is my goal to have materials that will match my instruction. I have some materials on hand but these items will enrich more areas of study. I will be able to teach numbers, colors, patterning, sorting in a way that my students can show me their progress. My students will be able to use the materials that will truly help them explore these areas while attaining a deep understanding of these concepts.
The children of my class come from families who often lack the time or the materials to let them explore mathematical concepts.
With these Math materials, my students will be able to build a solid foundation of basic concepts. This is where their lifetime of learning begins...with your donation we can get them off to a great start!
