My Project
Hello! I am a facilitator in the math tutoring center for Palmer High School. We are located in Colorado Springs, COLORADO! Our tutoring center has student tutors who train and work with mainly freshman students to help them pass Algebra One the items that I am hoping to get will help students help other students who struggle with math and have had bad past experiences. Our student tutors hope to help other students feel comfortable and give them confidence and support so that they can regain the confidence they need in mathematics the iPad will help students to quickly look up homework so that they can help other students. The headphones will allow students to access videos from teachers in our building so that they can help others with math. The rest of the items will be on our tables to either assist in the training or provide students with anxiety items that they can use to help them feel comfortable while they’re doing something that they struggle with and feel uncomfortable doing. Argo in the math tutoring center is to have every freshman student pass math class. We have been continuing to decrease our failure rate and increase confidence in mathematics. The student tutors also receive elective credit and internship credit for the tutoring that they provide. The tutoring center benefits our tutors and those being tutored. Please consider helping us make our tutoring center more welcoming, and better equipped for the different needs of the tutoring experience.
