Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students can have trouble understanding math concepts that require critical thinking and reasoning. In order to help facilitate learning, these resources will allow them to master math using hands-on tools that are engaging and fun!
Geometric shapes can be difficult to understand if they are not seen in real form. The Pattern Blocks that represent common shapes like square, rectangle and trapezoid will be used to help my students learn shape characteristics and attributes.
I expect student learning to be positive because my students will be able to use the tools to practice the skills and therefore retain the new learning.
