My Project
This project will help my students visually be able to see how a number is represented and also how an equation can be represented. Many of my students are able to grasp single digit math so I want to start advancing them with teen number addition and subtraction.
Using these manipulatives in my math small groups, I will be able to give challenges to my above grade level math students, while also challenging my learners that are below grade level.
One of the specific ways I want to use it is use the dice to create equations for my avanced learners and I want to use the tens frame paddles to express equations for my below grade level learners. At the beginning of the year I will also be using these to express numbers and what they look like represented with dots. All these resources will thoroughly benefit the lessons I will be teaching and allow fun manipulatives for my students to use to show their work.
