Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are a Title I-funded, K–8 school. Our staff works extremely hard and is committed to helping our students in achieving their academic potential. I enjoy seeing our students able to work in small groups where they can interact, and discuss one another's mathematical approaches and thinking. Using math manipulatives/tools is a fun approach to encourage kids to solve math problems and understand the approach used. Abstract concepts can be made concrete with the aid of math tools. The Tech Tub would be used to store and charge 5 iPads that will be used in our small groups. Our students are open to new challenges and peer learning. You are bringing math concepts to life with your donations.
