My Project

My 5th graders are a diverse bunch in so many ways, but every one of them is curious, enthusiastic, and engaged! I try to find any opportunity to facilitate and encourage their amazing growth-mindset.

Help me give my students tools to enrich their learning experiences during math, science, and other activities, and books about the STEM opportunities open to them.

These calculators will help my students practice real-life math and also give them the opportunity to practice skills they will need to be successful citizens in the simulated community of J.A. BizTown. The selected books will help them expand their knowledge of STEM, see themselves reflected in that world, and maybe even set them on their own path to a future in STEM.
