Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my 8th grade math class, I will provide my students with geometry toolkits that they will use for the entire year. This toolkit includes a ruler, protractor, an index card, scissors, tracing paper, etc. My students will learn functions and sketch graphs using a ruler and graph paper. When they learn transformation of figures in geometry, tracing paper and protractors will be a useful tool for their learning. My students will also need calculators which is an essential tool throughout all domains in a math class.
These supplies and tools will definitely help my students actively engage in activities and learning.
