Math Tool Kits for Virtual Learning

Help me give my students the tools they need for virtual learning. These tool boxes will engage the students in our math lessons.

My Students

Kindergarten is such a delightful time and often a child’s first experience with school.

We are a Title I school made up of a diverse student population and the students are amazing in so many ways.

I still crack up at the time we were rushing to get to special area and a student asked to use the bathroom. I told him to “hop to it” so we wouldn’t be late and he literally hopped all the way to the bathroom.

My Project

Students will be learning at home. These math tools kits will provide the math components they need to be engaged in our daily math lessons. As of now they have paper cut outs and I’d like to provide them with a sturdier more engaging option. The ten frames will build students number sense and help them see different combinations of 10 (5+5, 9+1....). The pattern blocks will allow them to manipulate shapes, count the number of sides and dive deeper into geometry. The students will be thrilled to have their very own math tool kit!
