Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students have been disoriented by this pandemic. Learning looks very different now and the coming school year is gloomy. Students lack knowledge of the basic use of technology. Parents are essential workers and unequipped to provide instruction. I will buy materials to be able to send home math tool kits to help students engage in my lessons online.
With the high probability of teaching online this upcoming school year, my students need hands-on materials to use at home.
Please help!
My Project
This pandemic hit unexpectedly and left the world is disarray. This school year has barely ended and we must quickly prepare for next school year. Students need math kits so lessons and assignments can be interactive and concrete. Each math kit will have a laminated number line, number bond, 120 chart, addition and subtraction fill-in sentences, whiteboards, dry erase markers, erasers, pencils, math journals, counters, and cubes. With this kit, I will be able to create interactive lessons where students will be highly engaged. I look forward to creating these kits with your help. These materials will be sent home with students to help them work from home. Specifically, each student will get a math tool kit!
