This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember the first time you were introduced to a new technical device? And, how nervous you felt? I would like my students to have these kinds of experiences without the nervousness.

I teach a wonderful group of 22, first graders, who love coming to school each morning.

They are so eager to get their hands on any and everything offered to them on a regular basis. They live in a neighborhood that is stricken by high poverty and most of them qualify and receive free lunch. However, this does not keep them from wanting to absorb new lessons and skills presented to them.

My Project

The selected mini iPad will be utilized to incorporate Math lessons and/or activities into everyday routines. And, the cover will protect the life of the tablet as the children manipulate it. Through the use of the mini iPad, the students will be able to sharpen their Math skills from all the available apps.

I would like to thank you in advance for your generosity in helping fund this project because you will afford my students with opportunities they have little or no access to.

My students, as each child does, deserve every chance at modern technology with no limits to enhance Math learning. You will make learning fun and exciting for these children that have had very few chances of manipulating such devices.
