Help me give my students a hands-on learning experience through a STEM project that will foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The requested materials will be used for a hands-on mathematics and engineering project that students will partake in at the end of our Geometry unit. Students will work together to design and build a model of their dream apartment. Using their knowledge of geometric figures, area, surface area, and the decomposing and composing of figures, along with the materials requested (like glue guns, cardboard, scissors, and glue sticks), students will work together to plan and construct the perfect New York City apartment with the given square footage parameters.
Through hands-on experimentation and analysis, students learn to tackle real-world challenges creatively.
This project will foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills, it will ignite curiosity, and hopefully spark a passion for design, discovery, and innovation.
My goal with this project is meant to engage my students, ignite their curiosity, promote teamwork and collaboration, and prepare them for future career success, making them indispensable in today's education landscape.
