MATH-The Benefits of Whiteboards and Student Discourse in Problem Solving

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me take my math class to the next level. I am hoping to get donors to help me fund the purchase of rolling whiteboards in my classroom. I have gotten a whiteboard funded through my school, and I am hoping to get more whiteboards to ensure that every group in my classroom can have access to a whiteboard.
Whiteboards are beneficial in problem-based mathematics.
Students have the opportunity to make their thinking visual when they have access to materials that can be easily accessible to them. Using whiteboards is different than processing in paper. In whiteboards, mistakes do not seem as big of a deal than in paper, because with a stroke of a finger it can be erased. That is a key thing that I want to emphasize in my classroom, mistakes are part of the learning process. Having a whiteboard per group will allow the discourse in each group member to elevate to new levels.
