My Students
My students are from a diverse set of backgrounds which includes low-income families, English language learners, special education students, and those receiving free or reduced-price lunches. My students are very bright, energetic, and visual learners. They need to relate the skills they learn in my classroom to real world.
Every student is unique and learns differently, So meeting the needs of every student can be challenging.
My students are unique individuals, who bring different cultures, languages, and ways of thinking to my classroom. I want to build a community of learners in my classroom, where each student can learn to accept and learn about other cultures.
My Project
To provide my students with engaging and creative learning experiences, I utilize flexible learning stations in my classroom. By having Chromebooks in the classroom, the students will be able to have access to a technology station. So many of my students are ESL with limited English comprehension. It's a struggle to give them the best learning opportunities available. The technology station will give them access to different math programs that will improve their learning and understanding.
I want my classroom to be a tolerant and safe learning environment.
I utilize Google classroom. It allows my students to access a variety of apps, collaborates with their peers and uploads their work. My ESL students will have better access to translating programs to improve their understanding. So no one will feel left out and all students will be able to collaborate and share their ideas. I want to use their interests and make learning math exciting.
