This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items I am requesting will help make a big difference in my students’ learning. When they don’t have proper materials to do math they cannot be as precise as necessary. Rulers, grids, compasses and protractors help aide in being able to properly and precisely do math assignments.

If you have ever worked with students you know how often they lose pencils and supplies so having them on hand in the classroom alleviates the necessity to find or borrow supplies from other students.

My goal is to ensure all the students in class have the materials they need to be able to readily and easily engage in classroom assignments. I believe all students are special but mine are especially so because they have learning disabilities but continue to come to school each day and try their best even though they have more hurdles to overcome than the average student.
