This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Students are curious and excited about learning. My biggest challenge is getting them more involved with Math. Together we came up with: ( Clap, clap, clap) MATH POWER!!! and we go to our math center.
My students come from many different Spanish speaking countries.
Many of their parents work two jobs to care for their families. Most of my students do not have the help nor the resources available to assist them in their learning process. Our Pre-K provides them with the best possible education. My students come to class excited to start their day. They come in curious and asking about what I have in store for them. They love to look at books and listen to stories. They love to play with blocks, and go to Centers. My students are a noisy bunch who work together to help each other complete their tasks. Often I find them sharing with each other, or drawing me pictures with hearts and flowers or dialing numbers on the phone while in a conversation with a friend.
My Project
HELP!! HELP!!
MY STUDENTS REQUIRE A LOT HELP IN MATH!!
I realized that my students needed a lot of help in Math. Our Math Center where the students go most often there is a lack of inviting materials. Your Donations will help put these needed materials in the centers where the children could have access to them. The manipulatives will help to reinforce many concepts such as one to one correspondence, sorting, matching, sequencing, patterning, time & money. The use of the I-pads in the Math and Reading centers will help incorporate technology in both areas of learning. The students will become more eager to learn as they gain self confidence.
MY STUDENTS THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!
Your donations will help our class grow immensely.
My students will have many resources available to them that they would otherwise not have the opportunity to work with. Your donations to this project will facilitate their learning while allowing them the time to become comfortable with the the concepts and to master the many required skills to have a strong academic beginning.
