Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The books in this project will immerse my students into the magical world of science and math. Through literacy, they will become empowered and feel confident as they learn about famous trailblazers in these fields and dive deep into different aspects of the science and math worlds.
My students must have access to books filled with powerful imagery and enriching text centered around these two topics.
Students will have access to these books as they seek to do independent or guided research or if they are looking for a book to read for leisure. Students will use these resources as supplemental texts in science and math classes.
Our current library resources do not meet the needs of students eager to immerse themselves in the fantastic world of science and math. The books in this project will enhance our library collection with relevant and up-to-date information while bedazzling our student's curiosities and thirst for knowledge.
