My Project
In my student teaching experience, I realized how much my students dread math daily. While this may be the general stigma around math, I realized that one thing I can do to help is offer supplies such as scientific calculators, yardsticks, markers, earbuds, and colored pencils.
For some, students their embarrassment and dread of math stems from not having supplies and feeling embarrassed over borrowing pencils, pens, paper, calculators, etc.
By supplying the room with plenty of supplies for every student, I can overcome their embarrassment by creating a student supply center they are welcome to use without asking.
As a first-year teacher, getting all the supplies for a classroom is a daunting task. Any little bit helps! Thank you!
