Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My special education students love materials they can write in and keep! These consumable products will help them improve reading, writing and math skills as well as art materials to use for our plethora of art lessons. The students are used to getting photocopies of materials for their work - providing them with books they can call their own is very exciting for them. The first time I used materials such as these one student said, “I get to keep this book forever?” I said, “yes, it’s your very own!”
It’s a goal of mine to continue to provide books that teach reading, writing and mathematics that they can keep forever.
