My Students
My students are mixed ability and amazing. They come from varying backgrounds but come together as a lively bunch of curious learners. The girls are outnumbered thirteen to nine, but they hold their own. I have six students in my class who are coming into Fifth Grade with Level Ones in Reading and Math (on a scale of 1-5) and are going to need my support with critical thinking skills, problem solving, and perseverance. I have three students performing at Level Five - who will need engaging activities to continue to grow. My other thirteen students also have their distinct needs. I have students with autism, learning disabilities, and attention deficit disorder. They are my Blue Suede Paws and are our fantastic future.
My Project
I have used DynaMath for many years and have always funded it out of my own pocket. My students love the magazine and are very excited when the latest packet arrives. I need help paying for it this year.
My students are so enthusiastic about getting stuck into the posed questions, that they hardly realize the complex Math problems they are solving!
The articles are engaging and up-to-date. The Math questions range from easy to difficult - meaning that every child feels successful.
DynaMath provides additional supplementary materials which are available online which enable me to create a home-school connection and full technology integration.
