I teach in an amazing school district with students that come to class ready and eager to learn. Students are excited to come to school and work hard everyday. My students are from a rural community of over 60% free and reduced lunch. Teaching in a Title I school means that many of my students come to class unprepared due to lack of supplies. By donating you will help me help my students with the tools they need to succeed. By providing them with the proper supplies we are allowing them to be confident and succeeded in all they do!
My Project
We do many projects and activities in my math class to apply the math concepts they are learning. I have broken and worn out supplies. I do not have a class set of many of my supplies, so students are waiting on others to finishing before they are able to use the materials. Having a class set of materials means everyone of my students are able to work on the same project at the same time. One of the activities I do every year is to make a scatter plot and find the line of best fit using data from m&m's. I do lessons where students are up walking around to collect information, as well as making graphs and charts.
