Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are hard workers at an urban, inner-city school. All of my students get free breakfast and lunch. More than half of my students come from families where English is not the first language, and in many cases, school is their only exposure to English and/or learning math and reading skills.
My students come to school each day excited to learn and see what the day has in store for them.
I am always looking for ways to keep my students excited about their learning and ways to give them as many possibilities in their educational experiences.
My Project
This year school will look a lot different. Students will be moving around a lot less and will not be able to share materials. I would love to provide each student with their own set of dice for math games. They will be able to keep these in their desks in the storage containers.
Due to Covid-19, I will be using a cart to move to different classrooms to provide math instruction to all third-grade students.
This is so the students don't have to move to other rooms. The cart will also have to be very organized for differentiated instruction for each class and their materials. Plus, a garland for decoration will give it a cute look!
