Help me give my students access to projected Math notes! This iPad will allow me to work on the big screen and enable the use of so many wonderful math apps.
I teach in a neighbor Middle School that is supported by its parents and community. Most of the students here have been together from kindergarten. Middle school brings new issues and some labels that can be hard to shed.
My students are in my Remedial Class for Math because they need extra support to reach grade level and they are determined to be successful.
They give up connections classes (art, PE, drama...) to work on their math skills.
These students make me proud every day. I love watching them learn that math is something they can conquer!
My Project
You may remember your middle school Math experiences. For some of us they are great memories, but for more of us, they are the most boring, never ending classes.
My goal, as a Remedial Math Teacher, is to add excitement to our lessons by maximising the use of technology.
I want the students to look forward to class and to love Math as much as I do. I want my students to be engaged.
There are so many wonderful Math apps available now, from manipulatives, to games, to practice lessons. Projecting notes on the big screen is just the beginning of what I could do in class with an iPad.
