This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our class is struggling in delving deeper into the Counting and Cardinality standards proposed by the Common Core State Standards. We need more of a variety of activities to support our mathematical understanding.
My students come from a Title One school where a majority of students need English as a Second Language services.
Many of my students receive Free or Reduced Meals, and breakfast is provided for students each day, free of charge. They are bright, inquisitive kindergarten students who often struggle with home problems affecting them at school.
My Project
In using these products, my students will be able to gain a deeper understanding of the mathematical standards required by the Common Core. They will use the materials to practice learned skills while having fun (kindergarten should still include fun learning!). These activities will allow my students to work independently, providing me more time to help struggling students.
Donations for this project will make a huge difference in my students' lives.
They have few materials to practice with at home, making their time at school even more critical. By providing donations, you will help increase the mathematical learning of needy students!
