I hope these items will help incentivize students to participate and complete all work. I like to add stickers to outstanding work! Many student like to hide behind the fact that they forgot their notebook or possibly cannot afford one in order to get out of assignments so I have the supplies I have can eliminate that obstacle. I will also give and outs and some students prefer binders so the sheet protectors will help keep sections organized. We take many notes and do problems in our notebooks and the students work in groups so if I could have a system at each table with supplies this would help the learning process.
My goal is a more organized and fun atmosphere where students can be rewarded for participation and motivation with more than just a grade.
Grades are not always the best motivator these days.
Sometimes a treat or a prize gets more participation in class activities. I hope these incentives will also help me get more assignments turned in by my students.
