This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are the epitome of resilience, and are the shining lights in their communities. They are coming from all walks of life, and from all across the world. School for them is more than a place of learning, it’s a safe environment, a warm meal, and sometimes the only consistency they have. With a demographic that is 100% economically disadvantaged come a new set of challenges, but my students still bring themselves to school every day ready to learn.
My Project
I am a 4th grade Math Teacher who is looking to bring more technology into the classroom! The Apple TV allows for a whole new level of experiences for the children, and speaks to them in the techie world they are growing up in. It’s also gives the experience of technology to those children who do not have it at home. I am excited to unlock the potential of my scholars by allowing them to use this technology, and hopefully life a fire for the love of all things STEM! Watch out world there is going to be a lot of learning going on!
