My Project

My students and I will embark on an exciting journey this year. I will teach sixth-grade Math while encouraging students to reflect on how Math is present in our community and the world around them while navigating real-world problems and creating solutions to tackle them. Students will collaborate with their peers, learn from community partners, and create and integrate Math concepts via project-based learning using markers and colored pencils.

This project will support students' exploration and allow me to merge art and Mathematics.

As a new charter school, we will use the organizational items (timer, bookshelf, and books) to help set our classroom up for success, allow for flexible seating, and allow scholars to manage their time effectively.

My goal with this project is to inspire students' love of learning through immersive and hands-on challenges.
