Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My second grade dual language students are absolutely amazing. They are committed and eager to learn each day regardless of the obstacles they are presented with.
My students take new challenges with an open-mind and they always strive to do their best.
My Project
The math manipulatives will help my students connect their ideas and knowledge about mathematical concepts. The book and manipulatives will also assist my students in learning the concepts about money and learn about the importance of budgeting, saving, and thoughtful spending.
The base ten blocks will provide my students with a hands-on learning opportunity and it will help deepen their number concepts, place value, operations and other mathematical concepts.
It will let them represent their thinking and strategies in multiple ways. Please help me provide my students with some essential math tools that will help them as they learn from home.
