Math Materials to Make All the Difference

My Students

My students are incredible! My students are in kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth, and fifth grade. They are curious, inquisitive, hard-working, and dedicated. All of my students have Individualized Educational Plans, because they have been diagnosed with a disability. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch at school. They come from high poverty areas, and they all love coming to school. My students are brilliant individuals who learn differently than their peers. These students will be successful, and it's my job to create learning opportunities that ensure this.

My Project

My students LOVE coming to school and love learning math. Many of them are at least one year behind their general education peers. It is my job to help close the achievement gap and to help them access grade level content. Throughout the day I teach students from kindergarten through 5th grade. I am always trying to think of ways to help students understand their grade level content, brainstorming the materials to use, and how to make the most of our time together to yield the best learning results.

Access to these materials will make all the difference.

I know that my students will benefit greatly from having access to these rulers, shape sorter, inch cubes, and 3-D shapes.
