This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Blocks form an important part of the elementary curriculum. So true! The materials requested here will be used teach my pre-k and kindergarten students to think critically and make informed choices. Many skills in early math are learned concretely through the use of math manipulatives. Linking cubes are an especially useful manipulative to use for teaching numeracy and patterning.
It is my goal to develop problem-solving strategies in the minds of my students so that they will be able to attack math with relish, a mental condition that is obviously beneficial in areas of life outside of mathematics.
These materials will form an important part of the meaningful math curriculum that I strive to deliver. Your donation will make a real difference.
