Help me give my students hands on math learning and experiences at home!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is located in the state of Washington. Our students are hardworking, kind, eager individuals.
Our differing cultures, backgrounds, economic statuses, and languages provide richness in the classroom.
However, we also face challenges. One challenge is that we need more materials and resources. There are so many learning opportunities I wish I could have with my students if only I had the means.
My Project
There have been several studies that show how effective manipulatives have been in increasing mathematics achievement.
Before students can really understand mathematical concepts deeply, they must actually experience or "do" the situation; manipulatives make the "doing" possible-Let's continue to have students "do" at a distance!
Manipulatives help students learn by allowing them to move from using concrete materials to deeper abstract thinking. Manipulatives have been found to help with verbalizing mathematical thinking, discuss mathematical ideas and concepts, relating real-world situations to math, and working collaboratively.
Please help put manipulatives into the hands of my students to continue their math learning meaningfully even if we cannot be in person. My district is continuing distance learning into the fall but we can't afford to not have students learn math through physical manipulation of materials. The manipulatives I'm asking for are foam dice, play doh, counters, and counting bears . Thank you in advance for your support to help students learn during this difficult time!
